Working with store-bought patterns can be frustrating because they are created using standardized measurements much like ready-to-wear fashion.  Creating your own pattern will give you the ability to create garments that will fit you perfectly.  The pattern we will create in this workshop is a basic pattern that you can add to or make simple changes to in order to create a wide range of different garments!

What you will learn:

How to take your own measurements

Mark and draft your own pattern for a dress, shirt, and tunic

How to construct your muslin for a test fit

What to Expect:

This class is a 4 day workshop held over 2 weekends

Each class will be 2.5 hours long

Week One:

We will take measurements and start drafting our pattern

Week Two:

We will finish drafting our pattern and construct our muslin

Important information:

All Pattern drafting supplies will be provided.

Muslin will be required for the test fit garment.  You may purchase your own or from us.

You must have good working knowledge of sewing and garment construction.

All current sewing club members will receive a discount so please contact us to register if you are a current sewing club member.

Epic Students:

We are an approved vendor for Epic and you may use the learning fund to pay for this workshop.

You may also be able to receive credit for an elective for this workshop. Please check with your teacher.
