SUMMARY:Pattern Drafting Weekend Workshop October 13th\, 14th\, and 15th 2023
DESCRIPTION:Working with store-bought patterns can be frustrating because they are created using standardized measurements much like ready-to-wear fashion.  Creating your own pattern will give you the ability to create garments that will fit you perfectly.  The pattern we will create in this workshop is a basic pattern that you can add to or make simple changes to in order to create a wide range of different garments! \nWhat you will learn: \nHow to take your own measurements \nMark and draft your own pattern for a dress\, shirt\, and tunic \nHow to construct your muslin for a test fit \nWhat to Expect: \nThis class is a 12 hour workshop over one weekend \nFriday Night 3 hours…..6 to 9pm \nSaturday afternoon 4 hours…..4 to 8pm \nSunday afternoon 5 hours….12 to 5pm \nImportant information: \nRegistration deadline is October 9th \nIn order for\, the class to make we must have 3 people signed up.  We will notify you by the Monday before the class if we will not be holding it. \nThis class is for ages 16 and up \nAll Pattern drafting supplies will be provided. \nMuslin will be required for the test fit garment.  You may purchase your own or from us. \nYou must have good working knowledge of sewing and garment construction. \nSign up is required and you can do so online or by calling us at the studio 918-928-2001. \nAll current sewing club members will receive a discount so please contact us to register if you are a current sewing club member. \nThere are no refunds for this class. \nEpic Students: \nWe are an approved vendor for Epic and you may use the learning fund to pay for this workshop. \nYou may also be able to receive credit for an elective for this workshop.
