Pattern Drafting Weekend Workshop November 10th, 11th, and 12th 2023

Working with store-bought patterns can be frustrating because they are created using standardized measurements much like ready-to-wear fashion.  Creating your pattern will give you the ability to create garments that will fit you perfectly.  The pattern we will create in this workshop is a basic pattern that you can add to or make simple changes to create a wide range of different garments!

What you will learn:

How to take your measurements

Mark and draft your pattern for a dress, shirt, and tunic

How to construct your muslin for a test fit

What to Expect:

This class is a 12-hour workshop over one weekend

Friday Night 3 hours…..6 to 9 pm

Saturday afternoon 4 hours…..4 to 8 pm

Sunday afternoon 5 hours….12 to 5 pm

Important information:

The registration deadline is November 7th

For, the class to make we must have 3 people signed up.  We will notify you by the Monday before the class if we will not be holding it.

This class is for ages 16 and up

All Pattern drafting supplies will be provided.

Muslin will be required for the test fit garment.  You may purchase your own or from us.

You must have a good working knowledge of sewing and garment construction.

All current sewing club members will receive a discount so please contact us to register if you are a current sewing club member.

There are no refunds for this class.

Epic Students:

We are an approved vendor for Epic and you may use the learning fund to pay for this workshop.

You may also be able to receive credit for an elective for this workshop. Please check with your teacher.
